Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Officer specialising in Manned Guarding and Events Security. In this role, you will be the frontline protector of our clients’ premises during various events and day-to-day operations. Your energetic presence will help maintain a safe environment, deter threats, and ensure smooth security operations through active surveillance and customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic security team committed to excellence.

Duties

  • Monitor access points to control entry and exit for staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors
  • Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to identify potential security risks or irregularities
  • Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are maintained
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and deterring theft or vandalism
  • Perform visual inspections during events or shifts to ensure all security measures are upheld
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and observations for record-keeping purposes

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in security or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to utilise surveillance equipment effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to remain alert and proactive during long shifts in various environments
  • Valid SIA licence
