Location: Isleworth, Whitton & surrounds
Job Type: Part-time (approx. 20 hours per week, variable)
Pay: £13 - £23 per hour including walking bonuses
Requirements: Own car, Full UK driving licence, DBS check, eligible to work in UK

Join Bark Life UK

Bark Life UK is an established, professional dog walking and dog day care company operating in Isleworth and Whitton since 2019. We specialise in structured group dog walks, safe dog handling, enrichment-led care, and exceptional client relationships.

Due to continued growth and expansion plans (including a private field day care site), we are hiring a professional Dog Walker to join our team.

This is a physically active, outdoor role suited to someone experienced, responsible, and confident handling multiple dogs.

Normal working hours between 9:00 - 15:00

Role Summary – Professional Dog Walker

You will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and returning dogs from clients’ homes
  • Walking up to 4 dogs at a time for structured 1-hour group walks
  • Safely transporting dogs in your own vehicle
  • Monitoring dog behaviour, body language and wellbeing
  • Providing professional client communication and walk updates
  • Managing client keys securely (key holder responsibility)

This is an independent working role requiring strong time management and trustworthiness.

Key Responsibilities

Dog Walking & Animal Care

  • Safe handling of multiple dogs
  • Maintaining control using approved leads and equipment
  • Assessing group dynamics and behaviour
  • Monitoring health, injuries, and welfare
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Client Service & Communication

  • Sending photos/videos and updates
  • Reporting incidents or health concerns
  • Maintaining walk logs if required
  • Representing the business professionally

Safety & Compliance

  • Following company policies and dog handling procedures
  • Secure key management
  • Risk assessment of weather and environments
  • Acting calmly in emergencies

Essential Requirements

  • Experience with dog walking, dog day care, kennels, or animal care
  • Confident handling multiple dogs
  • Strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language
  • Physically fit and able to walk several hours per day
  • Own car suitable for dog transportation
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working alone

Ideal candidate will live locally in Isleworth, Whitton or surrounding areas.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Professional dog walking experience
  • Canine first aid certification
  • Dog training or behaviour knowledge
  • Experience in group dog walks
