Salary: From £40,000 FTE per annum

Hours:

  • Monday – Wednesday: 8.30am – 4.30pm
  • Thursday: 8.30am – 6.00pm
  • Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm

Responsible to: Financial Controller

The Complete Works (TCW) is looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our growing organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants their work to have a meaningful impact. As part of a small and dedicated finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring TCW's finances are managed with accuracy, integrity and efficiency, helping us deliver life changing education and support to vulnerable young people across London.

Based in our Central Office in SE1, you will work closely with our Financial Controller and colleagues across the organisation, supporting all aspects of finance, payroll, procurement, financial reporting and compliance. You will also contribute to the financial management of TCW's social enterprise interests, including our café and future ventures.

About the role

No two days are the same at TCW. One day you may be preparing management accounts, processing payroll and reconciling balance sheet accounts; the next you could be supporting budget monitoring, liaising with suppliers, managing VAT submissions or helping identify new funding opportunities.

You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality financial records, ensuring staff and suppliers are paid accurately and on time, supporting monthly reporting processes and helping ensure the organisation remains financially robust and compliant.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with detail and precision, takes pride in producing accurate work and is motivated by contributing to a purpose-driven organisation.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in a finance environment with responsibility for payroll, invoicing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Is CCAB part-qualified (or equivalent) and keen to continue developing professionally.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Is confident using accounting software such as Sage, alongside strong Excel skills.
  • Can manage competing priorities and deadlines calmly and efficiently.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and willing to improve systems and processes.

Why work for TCW?

At TCW, every role contributes to improving outcomes for young people who have often faced significant barriers to success. While this is a finance position, your work will directly support the delivery of education, safeguarding and opportunities for some of London's most vulnerable learners.

We offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression
  • A varied and interesting role with real responsibility
  • The chance to contribute to both educational provision and social enterprise initiatives
  • A values-driven organisation committed to innovation, creativity and impact.
  • Wellbeing support from our welfare team including staff counsellor
  • Blue light card discounts

Safeguarding

The Complete Works is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo appropriate safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

Apply

If you are a finance professional who combines accuracy, integrity and initiative with a desire to make a positive difference, we would love to hear from you.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and that candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
