Full job description

Due to expansion of the company we are looking to recruit a friendly, patient-orientated Speech & Language Therapist to join our current team at JAS Speech Neuro in the Manchester Area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, private Speech & Language Therapy company operating in the North of England. The company has been operating for 20 years, providing specialist therapy provision in the field of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Neurorehabilitation. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of specialist input within residential ABI settings and as part of medico‑legal cases.

Main roles and responsibilities:

· Provide SLT assessment and treatment to patients with ABI and other neurological conditions.

· Work within a range of settings, including specialist residential ABI units across Manchester and patients’ homes, as required by the company and current caseload.

· Goal planning and report writing responsibilities in line with a patient’s individualised need.

· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide person-centred treatment.

· Independent diary management and completion of timesheets and expenses (training will be given).

· Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to team clinical discussions.

You will need to:

· Have knowledge of evidence-based assessments and treatment approaches associated with ABI and Acquired Neurological conditions.

· Have a recognised Dysphagia qualification if applying for the equivalent band 6 role.

· Be able to work as an autonomous practitioner, managing your own caseload as well as being able to work as part of a team.

· Hold a clean UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

· Be able to use up-to-date technology (Microsoft/Apple) at a basic level.

Benefits:

At JAS Speech Neuro we are highly committed to the continuing professional development of all our employees. As such, excellent opportunities for career development are available with this role such as:

· Regular supervision and mentoring from a senior member of staff.

· Promotion opportunities within the company.

· Attendance at accredited training courses (including Dysphagia if required).

· In house training and competency completion, with an opportunity to suggest courses which may benefit your own clinical practice.

· ASLTIP registration fee paid.

· 25 days paid holiday, plus statutory days.

· Flexible working hours.

· Home based working for administration.

We welcome prospective applicants to contact us for an informal chat to discuss the job.

Closing date for applications: 28 August 2026

Pay: £32,500.00-£40,500.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Manchester (Greater Manchester)
