About Physiogenics

Physiogenics is a growing centre for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, biomechanics, strength & conditioning and performance.

We combine evidence-based physiotherapy with progressive rehabilitation, movement analysis and strength & conditioning to help our patients move better, recover faster and perform at their best.

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Sports & MSK Physiotherapist with a strong Strength & Conditioning background to join our team and play an important role in shaping the future of the clinic.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who wants to develop their clinical skills, build a patient caseload and work in an environment that bridges the gap between physiotherapy, rehabilitation and performance.

About the Role

You will assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions while delivering structured, progressive rehabilitation programmes.

You will work with a varied patient population, including:

  • Sports and gym-related injuries
  • Running injuries
  • Active adults
  • Office workers
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Older adults
  • Recreational athletes
  • Performance athletes

The role is particularly suited to a physiotherapist who enjoys exercise-based rehabilitation and strength & conditioning and wants to develop patients beyond symptom management towards full function and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive MSK physiotherapy assessments
  • Develop clinical diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatment
  • Design and prescribe progressive rehabilitation programmes
  • Deliver gym-based rehabilitation and strength & conditioning programmes
  • Perform movement and biomechanical assessments
  • Support return-to-sport and return-to-performance rehabilitation
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt programmes accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and professional clinical documentation
  • Build strong relationships with patients and local healthcare and sports professionals
  • Work collaboratively with personal trainers, sports therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to the development of specialist services within the clinic

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
  • Current CSP membership
  • Minimum 2 years' MSK physiotherapy experience preferred
  • Strong MSK assessment and clinical reasoning skills
  • Excellent manual therapy skills
  • Strong rehabilitation knowledge
  • Confident prescribing and delivering gym-based rehabilitation
  • Strong understanding of exercise prescription
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sports, rehabilitation and patient outcomes

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • UKSCA accreditation
  • MSc in Strength & Conditioning
  • ASCC accreditation
  • Level 4 Strength & Conditioning qualification
  • Sports Massage qualification
  • Pilates qualification
  • Dry Needling / Acupuncture qualification
  • Running gait analysis experience
  • Return-to-sport rehabilitation experience
  • Experience working with athletes
  • Biomechanical assessment experience

What We Offer

  • 40% revenue-share self-employed model
  • Flexible full-time or part-time working opportunities
  • Access to a fully equipped rehabilitation and performance gym
  • Opportunities to develop your own specialist clinical services
  • Biomechanical assessment facilities
  • Motion capture technology
  • 2D and 3D foot scanning
  • Orthotic design services
  • Access to joint and soft-tissue injection services within the wider clinical environment
  • CPD and professional development support
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary working
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a new centre of excellence

Why Join Physiogenics?

We are not looking to build a traditional physiotherapy clinic.

Our aim is to create a centre of excellence for movement, rehabilitation and performance, where physiotherapy and strength & conditioning work together to achieve better long-term outcomes for patients.

You will have the opportunity to develop clinically, work with a diverse patient population, build your own professional profile and contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking clinic.

If you are an enthusiastic MSK or Sports Physiotherapist with a passion for strength & conditioning, exercise rehabilitation and performance, we would love to hear from you.

Apply now to join Physiogenics at Batchwood Golf & Sports Centre in Harpenden.

Physiogenics is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive working environment and welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates.
