Overview
This store is on the outskirts off Portsmouth, PO6 4FG.

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich Artists to join our team. This role involves preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently.
  • Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales.
  • Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • Skills in food safety practices and basic maths for handling transactions are beneficial.
  • Experience in serving customers with a friendly attitude is advantageous.
  • Kitchen or culinary experience can be an asset, especially in fast-paced settings requiring good time management skills.
  • Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Pay: £2,200.00-£2,300.00 per month
