Full job description

Little Kickers is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident people to join our coaching team and deliver fun, structured football sessions for children aged 18 months to 8 years across South East London.

This is a regular weekly role, not ad-hoc or occasional work. It's ideal for someone who enjoys football, sport, teaching, childcare or working with children and wants to gain valuable experience in a fun and supportive environment.

No previous football coaching experience is required — full training is provided.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading fun, structured football sessions for children aged 18 months–8 years
  • Delivering simple games and activities using our coaching programme
  • Keeping children engaged, active and having fun
  • Creating a safe, positive and energetic environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and other coaches
  • Setting up and packing away equipment
  • Working as part of a friendly and supportive coaching team

What we're looking for

We're looking for people who are reliable, positive and confident working with young children.

You should:

  • Be 18+ and comfortable leading groups of young children
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and approachable
  • Be reliable and committed to regular weekend work
  • Be able to communicate clearly and respond promptly to messages
  • Be confident taking responsibility for a group of children
  • Be able to travel reliably across South East London
  • Have an interest in football, sport, coaching, teaching or childcare

Previous experience in football coaching, teaching, childcare, youth work, sport, performing arts or other roles involving children or groups is highly desirable, but not essential.

Weekend commitment

This role is designed for someone looking for consistent weekend work over the longer term.

You should be able to:

  • Commit to regular Saturday and/or Sunday morning sessions
  • Work consistently each week
  • Commit for at least 6 months
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for every session
  • Communicate early and clearly if you are ever unable to attend

Where you'll work

Our sessions take place across South East London, including:

Bermondsey, Nunhead, Dulwich, Camberwell, Brixton, West Norwood, Crystal Palace, Streatham, Balham and Tooting Bec.

You should be able to reliably travel to your allocated venue(s) within approximately 45 minutes.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Be available for regular weekend morning sessions on an ongoing basis
  • Be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months
  • Be able to reliably travel to South East London venues
  • Be confident leading and engaging groups of young children
  • Communicate clearly and respond promptly to messages and scheduling
  • Demonstrate a reliable and punctual approach to work
  • Be comfortable working as part of a coaching team
  • Have an interest in football, sport, coaching, teaching or childcare

This is a regular weekly position and is intended for candidates who can provide consistent weekend availability. The role is not designed for temporary, seasonal or occasional work.
