Summary

We are seeking a Summer Nursery Assistant to join our team at Melrose Nursery School.

The role is for a the month of August.

Hours are 8am to 6pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and a 15 minute paid tea break. (9.5 hours paid per day)

This is for a three or four days a week. Additional days can be offered if you wish to work more.

We are currently looking to hire two people who would work three days each. (Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday, we would consider Tuesday to Thursday.)

This vital role contributes to our mission of providing stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities that support each child's growth in a nurturing setting.
Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality early years education tailored to individual children's needs.
  • Assist in creating a stimulating environment with engaging activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment.
  • Promote inclusive practices that respect diversity and individual needs.
  • Qualifications
  • A passion for working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
