Full job description

Little Beans team have an exciting opportunity for someone special to join us in a managers position in Poole. On an all year around contract. 40 hours a week to be discussed.

The role will require someone who is confident and strong in leading a team to success. Work with the directors, other site managers and the team to ensure goals are met, Ofsted compliance, Ofsted updates are implemented and adhered to, build growth within the company. Put strategies in place and systems to ensure we are compliant with the Eyfs and statutory framework. Keep up to date with legislations, policy and procedures. At Little Beans we work together to enable children to achieve their best possible outcomes. We have high standards and expectations of our team members, managers needs to work with the team cooperatively to ensure they are following policy and procedures, reflecting on their practice and continuing their professional development. Be part of the recruitment process, safeguarding and the curriculum and all areas of the EYFS.

The role entails ensuring the safe and smooth running of the nursery's, whilst implementing and following Little Beans policies and procedures. This means the successful candidate must have a good understanding of the EYFS and the Statutory requirements and be confident in their knowledge of the Oftsed requirements and safeguarding procedures. The successful candidate must be very organised and able to work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, the role is a mixture of office and floor work as we believe it is important for managers to experience a child’s day first hand to be able to ensure we are offering the best experiences to all children.

Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications & experiences:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher
  • Minimum 3 years experience within a childcare setting in a management role
  • Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
  • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities
  • Be a quick learner, with ample of intuition
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of childcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work productively with children, colleagues, parents and outside agencies
  • Comprehensive planning, organising and time management skills
  • Extensive understanding for how a Nursery works.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively in a team
  • Knowledge of Early Education Funding processes is desirable

The successful applicant will need to complete an Enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide a minimum of two satisfactory references prior to commencing employment.

Must have experience in leadership and managing a team.
