The Role
As part of continued growth Wessex Internet is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team of installing fibre to customers across our network. As part of our service delivery team you will be one of the end point to the customers journey by connecting them to our network and ensuring they are receiving the speed they are paying for.

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Role Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Field Based covering our network (Dorset/Wiltshire/Somerset/Hampshire)
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays

The Role
As part of continued growth Wessex Internet is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team of installing fibre to customers across our network. As part of our service delivery team you will be one of the end point to the customers journey by connecting them to our network and ensuring they are receiving the speed they are paying for.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Installing full fibre internet connections to both residential and business properties
- Diagnose and restore service issues to maintain customer connections
- Carry out emergency and scheduled maintenance across the Wessex Internet network
- Work as part of an engineering team providing assistance and resource for the maintenance of the ISP services
- Provide ‘out of hours’ cover on a rota basis during evenings and weekends
- Working at height to install equipment on masts and customer houses
- Working as an individual and as part of a team to achieve company targets and KPI’s
- Adherence with Health & Safety legislation
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Extensive knowledge of the telecoms industry, ideally with installation experience
- Takes a proactive approach to problem solving in a team environment
- Honesty and reliability
- The ability to work on your own initiative with strong self-organisational skills
- A strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving processes
- Be confident working at height and ideally have received certified training
- Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months
