Job Title: Telecoms Engineer

Location: Across Northwest and Yorkshire

Pay: £130 to £140 per day based on an annual salary of £36,400

Are you an experienced Telecoms Engineer looking for your next opportunity across the Northwest and Yorkshire? Technical Resources are recruiting for a Telecoms Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecoms infrastructure across copper, HFC, and fibre networks. This is a hands-on field-based role involving underground and overhead cabling works, fibre blowing, jointing, and network maintenance activities across commercial and residential environments.

You will be working for a leading telecommunications and infrastructure business delivering high-quality network solutions across major client projects.

Responsibilities:

● Install, maintain, and repair telecoms access networks, including copper, fibre, CATV, and FTTP systems. Also Underground cabling, rod and roping and subduct installation.

● Perform jointing, termination, and testing of telecoms infrastructure

● Complete cable route proofing and cable pulling activities where required

● Read and interpret job packs, engineering drawings, cable maps, SLDs, and BOMs

● Identify and report duct blockages and produce blockage maps when necessary

● Carry out small-scale reinstatement and garden works following network installations or repairs

● Conduct site risk assessments, van checks, and tool inspections. Capturing site evidence

Experience required:

● Experience working on copper, HFC, fibre, and FTTP networks – minimum 2 years experience

● Strong understanding of telecoms build and maintenance activities

● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

● Experience using mobile applications and digital reporting systems

● Full UK Driving Licence essential

Desired Certifications:

● SA001, SA002, S7or S8 accreditations

● First Aid certification

● Experience working on poles, rooftops, MEWPs, or within confined spaces

● NRSWA (SLG Unit 2) Certification

● Working at Height and Ladder Competency Certification

Pay: £130.00-£140.00 per day
