This is an opportunity to step into a varied and rewarding HR role where you won't simply be managing processes, you'll be building relationships, supporting people, advising managers and helping to shape a positive employee experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, flexible working requests and probation reviews.
  • Becoming a trusted HR partner, providing practical advice and coaching managers through a wide range of people-related challenges.
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation and becoming a friendly, approachable point of contact for employees and managers.
  • Keeping HR policies fresh, compliant and aligned with current best practice.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and playing an active role in the annual staff survey.
  • Managing employee benefits and helping to create a positive, supportive workplace culture.
  • Supporting recruitment activity and helping to deliver an excellent experience for every candidate.
  • Producing meaningful HR reports and analysing trends to help inform business decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems.
  • Working closely with payroll to ensure employee changes are communicated and processed smoothly.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and sharing your knowledge and expertise with the wider business.

What you'll bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Confidence managing a broad range of employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Strong absence management experience.
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • A naturally approachable and personable style — someone people feel comfortable coming to for advice.
  • A proactive, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Most importantly, you'll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and wants to make a difference.
