Qualified Seasonal Early Years Practitioner

Foxes Bridge Farm Day Nursery - Part of the Farm Day Nurseries Group

Foxes Bridge Farm Day Nursery is a 40 place Early years setting based onsite at Foxes Bridge Farm. We focus on nature based play, and outdoor learning. We follow a child led curiosity approach to children's development.

We have new vacancies available for Qualified Seasonal Practitioners, who wish to work during school holidays (13 weeks of the year) to join our day nursery setting at Foxes Bridge farm in Comberton, Cambridge!

Hours available during these times are fully flexible, you can work part time or full time during the school holidays, its totally up to you!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To support the day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the nursery facility.
  • To support your colleagues and work as part of a team in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children.
  • To assist in the development of an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the nursery, which encourage independence, self-motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • To treat information of matters relating to the work within the nursery as confidential.
  • To ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene and welfare whilst maintaining adequate supervision of the conduct of the children attending the nursery.
  • To ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • To help support the management team to ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
  • To support the management team in striving to deliver an outstanding setting
  • Any other duties that may be required.

What are we looking for:

  • Previous childcare experience, ideally in a day nursery setting
  • Minimum level 3 Early Years qualification
  • A passion for childcare and Early Years
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Due to our location a full driving licence and own transport would be preferred.

Please note the nursery will be open from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday and so shift patterns will be rotating within these opening hours. Please make sure you can commit to early and late shifts before applying.
