History Teacher

Position: History Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Devon / Somerset border
Duration: Summer Term (Full-Time)

ANZUK Education is working with a fantastic secondary school on the Somerset/Devon border, that is currently looking for a skilled and passionate History Teacher to join their team for the summer term. This is a full-time role, teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, where you’ll be responsible for planning, delivering engaging lessons, as well as marking and assessment.

Key Responsibilities of a History Teacher:

  • Teach History to KS3 & KS4 students
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love for History
  • Plan lessons that align with the national curriculum
  • Mark and assess students' work and provide constructive feedback
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support student progression

Key Requirements of a History Teacher:

  • Strong subject knowledge in History
  • Experience teaching History at KS3 & KS4 level
  • Hold QTS or the equivalent
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students
  • Ability to adapt to a new school environment quickly
