  • Delivering simple games and activities using our coaching programme
  • Keeping children engaged, active and having fun
  • Creating a safe, positive and energetic environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and other coaches
  • Setting up and packing away equipment
  • Working as part of a friendly and supportive coaching team

What we're looking for

  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and approachable
  • Be reliable and committed to regular weekend work
  • Be able to communicate clearly and respond promptly to messages
  • Be confident taking responsibility for a group of children
  • Be able to travel reliably across South East London
  • Have an interest in football, sport, coaching, teaching or childcare

Previous experience in football coaching, teaching, childcare, youth work, sport, performing arts or other roles involving children or groups is highly desirable, but not essential.

Weekend commitment

This role is designed for someone looking for consistent weekend work over the longer term.

You should be able to:

  • Commit to regular Saturday and/or Sunday morning sessions
  • Work consistently each week
  • Commit for at least 6 months
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for every session
  • Communicate early and clearly if you are ever unable to attend

This role is not suitable for someone looking for temporary summer work, occasional shifts or short-term employment.

What you'll get

  • Regular weekly weekend work
  • 3–8 hours per week, primarily weekend mornings
  • Full training — no previous coaching experience required
  • Ongoing support from an experienced coaching team
  • Valuable experience working with children aged 18 months–8 years
  • Opportunities to develop your coaching, leadership and communication skills
  • Friendly and energetic working environment
  • Employee mentoring programme
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • Company events
  • Referral bonus scheme

Where you'll work

Our sessions take place across South East London, including:

Bermondsey, Nunhead, Dulwich, Camberwell, Brixton, West Norwood, Crystal Palace, Streatham, Balham and Tooting Bec.

You should be able to reliably travel to your allocated venue(s) within approximately 45 minutes.

Key Requirements
