Full job description

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Football Coaches to deliver fun, structured football sessions for children aged 18 months to 8 years across South East London.

This is a consistent weekly role (not ad-hoc work) for people who want regular weekend hours, enjoy working with children, and can communicate clearly and show strong reliability.

Previous coaching experience is not required, however experience working with children, leading groups, teaching, childcare, sport, performing arts or customer-facing roles is highly desirable.

What the role involves

  • Leading fun, structured football sessions for young children
  • Delivering simple games and activities (training provided)
  • Creating a positive, energetic and safe environment for children and parents
  • Setting up and packing away equipment before and after sessions
  • Working as part of a supportive coaching team

Who we are looking for

We are prioritising reliability, communication, and consistency.

You should be:

  • 18+ and confident working with young children
  • Reliable and able to commit to regular weekend morning sessions (Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • A clear communicator who responds to messages and scheduling promptly
  • Positive, energetic, and comfortable leading groups
  • Able to travel across South East London (within 45 minutes)
  • Interested in sport, coaching, teaching or childcare

No coaching experience is needed – full training is provided.

We are looking for people who:

  • Can commit consistently every week

  • Want ongoing weekend work, not occasional shifts

  • £13.85–£15 per hour
  • 3–8 hours per week (weekend mornings)
  • Ongoing, consistent weekly work
  • Full training and support
  • Friendly and energetic coaching environment
  • Valuable experience for careers in teaching, coaching, or childcare
  • Referral bonus scheme

Locations

South East London with venues in Bermondsey, Nunhead, Dulwich, Camberwell, Brixton, West Norwood, Crystal Palace, Streatham, Balham and Tooting Bec.

Apply if you can say YES to the following:

  • I can reliably travel to South East London venues
  • I am confident leading groups of young children
  • I communicate clearly and reliably
