Assistant FOH Manager, a rare opportunity at The Bookcafe Derby

The Bookcafe is an award winning, Derbyshire based company with two quirky, cosy café restaurants in fantastic buildings. We are currently looking for an Assistant FOH Manager to help us run the day to day operation in our Derby cafe and to grow and develop our team of warm and friendly front of housers.

Full/part time candidate. (including weekends )The majority of your shifts will be daytime, However evening shifts required for private functions & events. Potentially one per week shared between Management.

Our cafes are busy, bustling places by day and have a growing number of private party bookings for birthdays & weddings at weekends, so we’re looking for someone with experience of working in a busy café, pub or restaurant environment in either a supervisory or management role. Qualities required:Genuinely warm and friendly, positive and energetic. Organised and have an eye for detail & natural coach. .
The role involves supporting the FOH Manager to drive sales & profit .Team training & coaching.Organisation & running of the Front of House operation
