An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled engineer to join the award winning team at Cosgrove & Drew. Performing both planned an reactive maintenance on a verity of domestic & commercial premises throughout the South West.

A can do attitude and a willingness to strive for excellence is essential. The successful candidatemust have excellent communication skills in addition to their practical skills, as they will be required to interact at all levels including our clients.

Role Overview:

· Full time permanent position, working 42.5 hrs per week (plus overtime)

· Planned works, such as bath room renovations, insurance works etc. working in domestic and light commercial properties.

· There is a large amount of work within housing associations

· Reactive repairs, such as emergency call outs to building fabric may be required from time to time

  • Liaise with the helpdesk in relation to work orders
  • Complete relevant paperwork and report diligently, including customer sign off after each job
  • Supporting the line manager / supervisor with quoting extra works, and ensuring the job stays on specification
  • Work in a customer focused environment where quality and service is paramount
  • Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety
  • Working across FM, projects, planned & reactive maintenance teams

Required skills (candidates need a minimum number of 2 of the below skills to be considered):

Carpentry

Painting and decorating

Kitchen and bathroom fitting

Tiling

Basic plaster repairs

Basic plumbing

Basic electrical skills/knowledge

Basic building fabric duties

Flooring

RAMS & PTW working knowledge and experience

Brick work repairs

Roofing repairs

Person spec:

· Experience in a varied construction and building environment, including working within social housing and local authority

· Full driving license

· DBS check will be required and clean (exceptions may be given)

· Ability to work from plans, but also have the ability to fill in any gaps or highlight to the supervisor for approval

· A can do attitude

· Flexible mindset for reactive tasks

· Possess a high degree of attention to detail

· Awareness of Health and Safety

· Highly customer focused

· Experience of working within a mobile workforce

· Experience dealing with customers and suppliers

· Excellent communication skills

· Musty be able to use a tablet for work sheets
