Full job description

We are looking for a confident / reliable individual to join our growing team as an architectural technician for the Glasgow office. This position will be a mix of office based activities as well as site work.

  • Majority of the sites will be spread throughout Scotland (Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Glasgow) therefore candidate must be willing to travel and be flexible during working hours (Mon - Fri: 9am - 5pm)

No Experience required!

Full training will be provided!

Job role:

  • Attending properties throughout Scotland for carrying out Lidar scanned surveys.
  • Using Lidar survey equipment to gather data on site.
  • Producing drawings from the scanned data using AutoCAD & Revit.
  • Liaising with clients on site and working as a team to ensure work on site is completed on time and well.

We are looking for an individual who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure work is done properly on site and also someone who is friendly with a can-do attitude to life.

Note: Candidates must be local: Glasgow city or nearby.

Candidate:

No previous surveying experience is required as full training will be provided. This role may suit a recent school leaver / college student / university leavers. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked in the surveying or construction industry.

  • A keen interest in outdoor activities with previous work experience an advantage.
  • A drive to learn new skills along with retaining and refining existing ones.
  • Ability to process large amounts of information and make informed decisions.
  • Able to work as part of a team, also as an individual.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Rights to work in the UK.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, CAD knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Experience in land, engineering, utilities and/or UAV surveying preferred but not essential.
  • Punctual, enthusiastic and a desire to develop your career by learning on the job.
  • Prepared to travel for work, including overnight stays and be willing to work in remote locations.
