Join a Team Manufacturing Diagnostic Products That Make a Difference

Our client is an established diagnostics company specialising in laboratory testing and transfusion medicine. Their products are used by healthcare laboratories to improve efficiency, accelerate diagnosis and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Production Technician to join their manufacturing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career within medical device and diagnostics manufacturing. Full training will be provided, allowing you to develop expertise within a highly regulated GMP environment while becoming an integral part of an experienced production team.

The Opportunity

Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you'll be responsible for producing diagnostic products to the highest quality standards, following established manufacturing processes and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

This role would suit someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work, takes pride in producing high-quality products and is looking to develop their career within manufacturing rather than research.

No two days are exactly the same, but quality, teamwork and attention to detail are at the heart of everything you do.

What You'll Be Doing

Working as part of the Production team you will:

  • Manufacture diagnostic products in accordance with approved procedures and production schedules
  • Prepare buffers and reagent solutions following defined formulations
  • Carry out filtration, filling and manufacturing activities within cleanroom environments
  • Follow GMP, SOPs and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
  • Complete manufacturing documentation accurately and to a high standard
  • Maintain awareness of COSHH requirements and Health & Safety procedures
  • Support routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping activities
  • Ensure production materials and consumables are available to support manufacturing schedules
  • Contribute ideas to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies
  • Support updates to manufacturing procedures and documentation where appropriate

About You

We're looking for individuals who are reliable, organised and take pride in producing work to a consistently high standard.

You will ideally have:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence carrying out basic calculations
  • A methodical approach and ability to follow written procedures accurately
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and quality

Experience

Previous experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Scientific qualifications are welcomed, however this is a hands-on manufacturing role and would best suit individuals who are looking to develop a career within production and manufacturing operations.

Full Training Provided

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training in:

  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Cleanroom manufacturing
  • Production processes
  • Diagnostic product manufacture
  • Quality systems
  • Documentation standards
  • Health & Safety procedures

Why Join?

  • Join an established diagnostics company with an excellent reputation
  • Receive structured training and ongoing development
  • Become part of an experienced and supportive manufacturing team
  • Build long-term skills within a regulated industry
  • Work on products that support healthcare laboratories and improve patient care
  • Develop a rewarding career within medical device and diagnostics manufacturing

Pay: From £26,500.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance
  • Sick pay
