About the role

Employee Relations Advisor (HR) – Home based
Starting salary of £36,000, with an increase upon successful completion of probation.
There are also opportunities to earn additional income through overtime and out-of-hours cover.
We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our People team at Bidfood, supporting managers across the business with complex employee relations cases and employment law guidance. This is a home-based role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact by improving employee relations and developing manager capability across a diverse organisation.
Key responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance and appeals
  • Provide expert advice on UK employment law and HR best practice to managers across multiple sites
  • Coach and upskill managers to build confidence in handling ER matters effectively
  • Support change and organisational initiatives, ensuring risks are managed appropriately
  • Maintain accurate case records and use data insights to support business decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with HR Services and Payroll to ensure smooth case outcomes
What we’re looking for
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience managing employee relations cases in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Confident communicator, able to provide clear, balanced and pragmatic advice
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Working pattern
This role supports a service operating between 9:00am and 10:00pm. Your typical working pattern will be 12:00pm – 8:00pm, with flexibility required to support the wider team. Flexibility is offered in return.
