About us

Essex Groundwork Supplies Ltd is a family run business we have been incorporated since 2000. Our company specialises in Groundwork and Civil engineering products, selling to a wide range of customers in the South East of England.

We are currently looking for a Junior Sales Assistant / trade counter person at our premises in Basildon, to join our hard working team on a full time basis Monday to Friday 42.5 hrs per week. We would require you to help and serve our customers either by phone and email also to serve customers on our trade counter. Knowledge of our building products is not essential as full training will be given. It is really important to make sure that our customers receive the best experience when they call or visit us. you would need to be able to work as part of a close knit team.

Your role would include.

-Answering and making phone calls also replying to emails.

-Speaking to and serving customers in a pleasant, professional and effective manner.

-Building a relationship with existing and new customers.

-Promoting products to maximise sales.

-Assisting the sales team with enquiries and order processing.

-Performing stock and price checks with our manufacturers.

-Being proactive in finding new business.
