Equal Teaching | Rhondda Cynon Taf | £160-£200 a day

We're looking for a creative practitioner or experienced Further Education tutor to teach one or more art and design disciplines - Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, or Textiles - to learners building a portfolio and working towards nationally recognised qualifications.

What you'll do
  • Deliver practical studio sessions and theory/contextual studies in your specialist area(s)
  • Assess learner work and portfolios, and prepare them for exhibitions and submissions
  • Maintain safe, well-organised studios in line with health and safety and COSHH requirements
  • Support learner progress, attendance and wellbeing as a personal tutor
  • Keep course content current with creative practice and awarding body requirements (e.g. UAL, BTEC, A Level)

Requirements


What you'll need
    • Degree, HND or equivalent Level 4+ qualification in a relevant creative discipline
    • Recent hands-on practice as an artist, designer, photographer or maker, with a strong portfolio
    • GCSE/Level 2 English & Maths, or willingness to achieve this
    • A teaching qualification (DET/PGCE/Cert Ed), or willingness to work towards one
    • Enhanced DBS check (required for the role)

Nice to have: Assessor award (TAQA/A1), postgraduate creative qualification (MA), track record of exhibiting or publishing work.
