Freelance School Photographer (Seasonal – Sept to Nov)

£100–£160 per day + expenses | Training Provided | Repeat Work Available

Join a Busy, Established School Photography Team

Kittle Photographic is a well-established, fast-growing school photography company working with schools across the UK.

As we head into our busiest season, we’re looking for confident, reliable freelance photographers to join us for our September–November contract (approx. 10 weeks).

Experienced school photographers are highly valued and encouraged to apply
If you’re newer to the industry, full training is provided

Many of our photographers return season after season — this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing, reliable freelance work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Photographing individual pupils, siblings, and class groups
  • Setting up and managing mobile studio equipment on-site
  • Creating a fun, engaging environment to get the best from children
  • Representing our brand professionally in schools

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and being on the move.

Pay & Benefits

  • £100 - £130 per day (equipment provided)
  • £130 - £160 per day (if supplying your own camera, 4 lights & laptop)
  • Mileage and travel expenses paid
  • All specialist equipment (e.g. backdrops) supplied

Higher rates available for returning photographers and those who consistently meet our standards

Who This Role Suits Best

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have school photography experience (highly desirable)
  • OR have experience working with children (teaching, coaching, entertainment, etc.)
  • Are confident managing groups of children and keeping energy high
  • Have a friendly, professional, and organised approach
  • Enjoy early starts and a varied working day

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Willingness to travel (typically up to 2 hours)
  • Ability to carry and set up equipment
  • DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two references

Training

Training week starts 25th August (Chelmsford)
