Your Role: Veterinary Technical Consultant
As Veterinary Technical Consultant, you will be part of the species team, working closely with sales, marketing, and international colleagues to deliver technical strategy and field support aligned with Elanco business priorities. In this role, you will build trusted relationships with customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and influencers, while supporting product launches, training, and technical inquiries to maximize the value of current and future Elanco products and services.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical and consultative training, coaching, and support to sales teams through meetings and regular joint customer visits.
  • Provide technical support for customer inquiries and adverse event reports, including data collection for pharmacovigilance reporting and out-of-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and influencers to position Elanco as a trusted technical partner.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and review technical materials and programs, including presentations, sales materials, technical information sheets, and meeting roadshows.
  • Support product launch activities and contribute to species strategy with the species leadership team and relevant international colleagues.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Veterinary qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years of technical experience in animal health, veterinary practice, or a related technical field
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, and willingness to learn new products and disease areas over time

  • Empathy and passion for the animal health industry, with strong business acumen and a results-driven approach
  • Persuasion, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term business relationships

Additional Information:
Travel: Field based travel and some overnight stays.
