We’re looking for Nursery Practitioners to bring warmth, creativity, and care to our children aged 3 months to 4 years. With our unique forest school setting for our over 3's, every day is an adventure – indoors and out!

Job Summary
We are seeking two or three dedicated and passionate qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our nurturing environment from January 2027:

One part time position working across both rooms, set shifts between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm plus flexible hours available.

One full time position OR two part time positions working in our under two's room. Set shifts between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.

The ideal candidates will have nursery experience. You will demonstrate the ability to support the development of infants and young children. This role requires effective communication skills and a drive to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere for children. We are open for 48 weeks of the year.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care for children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of infants.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Work collaboratively with other practitioners to maintain a harmonious environment within the nursery.
  • Manage daily routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times, ensuring each child's individual needs are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records to inform future planning.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a nursery/ childminding setting is desirable but we will also consider someone that has recently qualified so long as they have gained work experience in childcare as we are happy to provide training and support to the right person.
  • Must have a valid childcare qualification, Level 2 as a minimum
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
  • An enhanced DBS and two references will be required.
  • A proactive approach with a drive to continuously improve practices within the nursery setting.
