Evolution Fires is a well-established manufacturer of premium media walls and fireplaces. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Factory Packer & Labourer to join our busy manufacturing team in Burscough.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving the regular lifting, moving, wrapping and loading of large and heavy products.

The successful candidate must be comfortable carrying out physical tasks throughout the working day, work well as part of a team and take pride in ensuring our products are carefully prepared for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully wrap, protect and package large media walls and fireplaces ready for dispatch.
• Regularly lift, carry, move and handle large, heavy and bulky products, using appropriate manual-handling techniques, equipment and team lifting where required.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled safely and securely.
• Move materials and finished products around the factory and warehouse.
• Check packaged products to ensure they are properly protected and ready for delivery.
• Assist the manufacturing team with general factory and production duties.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures, particularly those relating to manual handling.

• A careful approach to handling finished products to prevent damage.
• Previous experience in factory work, packing, warehouse operations or manual labour would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Important – Physical Requirements

Please note that this is not a light packing or warehouse picking role.

Our products include large, fully assembled media walls and fireplaces that can be heavy and awkward to manoeuvre.

The position involves frequent physical activity, including standing, bending, wrapping, moving and assisting with the lifting and loading of bulky products throughout the working day.

All lifting and handling must be carried out safely, using appropriate equipment and assistance where necessary.
