Technical Skills (Existing skills OR willingness to learn on the job)
Uptivity offers a range of SaaS (software as a service) applications and has an extensive Product Development Roadmap in place and we’re looking for dynamic individuals who are fast learners keen to develop their future career with Uptivity as a FULL STACK SOFTWARE DEVELOPER.
You will be working with Senior Engineers and and completing your Level 4 Software Engineering apprenticeship. You will be provided mentoring and support but you must also
1. Have knowledge of PHP web frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Yii, CodeIgniter) and can develop and maintain PHP-based web applications and websites
2. Build Responsive Web Applications
3. Knowledge of Microservices and API’s
4. Automating business processes using AI
5. Manage Development Operations (Cloud servers, Security, Backups)
6. Front End Development Languages and Frameworks using React, HTML and CSS , JavaScript
7. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
8. Understanding of MVC design patterns and object-oriented PHP programming
9. Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git
10. Knowledge of web security and performance optimisation techniques
11. Experience with common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay, etc.)
12. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
13. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
14. Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
15. Ability to think analytically and to solve problems and understand complex business processes
16. Ability to map business processes to system’s data flows
17. Ability to create systems & apps screen designs, UI/UX designs using tools such as Figma & Canva
18. Have knowledge of or strong willingness to maintain and develop the Cloud infrastructure such as AWS and other Data Centres
19. Writing user stories, software acceptance criteria, Software Test Scenarios and carrying out software testing for new features developed by the company
20. Good technical writing skills to maintain technical documentations
21. Writing step by step System Users Guides, develop client on-boarding checklists and developing product FAQ’s and knowledge base
22. Support local computer and network infrastructure for existing customers
Person’s Specification:
1. Confident and individual who can be involved in Product Demonstrations, Client On-boarding, Client Training on usage of our applications, Client Requirement Gathering: Ability to work with client closely to understand their business challenges and be able to map our software and apps to client’s requirements
2. Takes responsibility & ownership of allocated tasks from start to end
3. Takes own initiative to help find solution to complex problems
4. Curious personality who investigates ways of improving processes using technology
5. Have a focus on finding solution to problems and solves for customer success
6. Attitude: General can-do attitude towards new and difficult challenges and help colleagues & customers in finding appropriate solutions
7. Ability to work independently, takes own initiative also work with diverse team and customers
8. Willing to travel to customer’s site
9. Driver’s licence would be advantageous but not essential
