Social Media Manager

Salary £30,000 - £35,000

Founded in 2011, Glow Green is a FCA regulated renewable technology installation and finance business. Glow Green aims to become the most successful UK wide installer of solar, battery and heat pumps.

Glow Green are proud to have successfully reached over 11,000 reviews across two Trustpliot pages, with our solar page being 4.8/5 star rating.

Being partnered with Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus PLC) who exceed over one million customers, we provide them with their chosen energy saving products. Additionally, we have recently secured new partnerships with Uswitch, MoneySuperMarket and Go.Compare, and we have further launches with other leading comparison brands happening soon.

We have been successfully trading for over 14 years, employing over 130 office staff and 2,200 engineers nationwide. We have built a bespoke CRM and various web applications to fuel our growth. Our digital infrastructure will enable us to become the UK's largest energy installer in the coming years.

What we are looking for...

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can bring our brand to life across digital platforms and grow our online presence. You must have extensive experience with paid and organic social media platforms. You will be responsible for managing and optimising our paid social media campaigns, as well as implementing effective organic strategies. You will have the freedom to shape our social strategy.

Social Media Manager Skills & Experience

  • Collaborate closely with the Founder / CEO and Head of Digital to shape and execute the company's overall social media business strategy;
  • Formulate ideas for captivating content that will excite, educate and entertain our audience on social media platforms for our chosen products;
  • Develop and lead paid social media campaigns across various platforms, namely Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, and work with our Digital Team to achieve profitable CPA outcomes;
  • To produce ad copy writing, campaign building, ongoing management and optimisation;
  • To lead the organic social media strategy including content plans, posting content, boosting, reporting and customer engagement stats;
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics such as CTR, leads, sales, and return on ad spend (ROAS) / cost per acquisition (CPA);
  • Collaborate with the Digital Team to align social media strategies with company culture and business overall marketing goals;
  • Conduct A/B testing and optimise ad creatives and targeting for improved campaign performance.

Social Media Manager Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in social media with a track record of increasing engagement, conversions and organic growth;
  • Strong understanding of paid social, meta data optimisation and campaign management;
  • Confident and independent - you take initiative and don’t need (or want) to be micro-managed;
  • Skilled in content creation and design (Adobe Creative Suite or similar);
  • Analytical mindset - you know how to measure success and refine your approach;
  • Comfortable on camera for video content.

Glow Green Benefits!

  • Competitive salary between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience;
  • Hybrid working;
  • Annual pay reviews each April;
  • A generous 33 days holiday, including Bank Holiday;
  • Ongoing opportunities for growth and development;
  • Company Pension Scheme;
  • Robust company sick pay benefit;
  • An array of staff perks, including eye care vouchers, daily fresh fruit, confectionery and drinks.

Our reputation for providing excellent service is readily reflected in the people that we employ.

The successful Social Media Manager will enjoy a rewarding career, developing alongside a company with huge ambition.
