Full job description

We’re growing our Construction Training Team and looking for a Construction Tutor who is passionate about developing the next generation of professional construction and built‑environment apprentices.

At Learning Skills Partnership (LSP), we deliver professional construction apprenticeships across civil engineering, design and build, quantity surveying, digital engineering, site supervision and construction management. Every apprenticeship includes a formal BTEC or Higher National qualification, and your role is central to helping learners achieve these milestones through high‑quality teaching, structured assessment and expert industry guidance.

If you’re someone who thrives on supporting apprentices to build real professional competence — not just pass a course — this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

As a Construction Tutor, you’ll deliver structured, engaging weekly training sessions to apprentices working towards qualifications such as:

  • BTEC National Diploma in Civil Engineering (L3)
  • BTEC National Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment (L3)
  • BTEC Higher National in Civil Engineering (L4)
  • BTEC Higher National in Construction Management (L4)
  • BTEC Higher National in Quantity Surveying (L4)
  • NVQ Diploma in Built Environment Design (Digital Engineering)

Most delivery is remote via Microsoft Teams, supported by planned marking and consolidation periods throughout the academic cycle.

You will:

  • Deliver high‑quality, interactive teaching aligned to apprenticeship standards and qualification requirements
  • Use digital tools to engage, motivate and manage groups in a virtual learning environment
  • Plan lessons, schemes of work and resources that meet awarding body expectations
  • Assess learner work, provide detailed developmental feedback and maintain accurate records
  • Support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for End Point Assessment
  • Work closely with Support Coaches, employers and EPA colleagues to monitor progress
  • Contribute to curriculum development, standardisation and continuous quality improvement
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent Duty, equality and inclusion in all aspects of delivery

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company events

Application question(s):

  • Do you hold a relevant construction qualification (Diploma, Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or above, or equivalent)?
  • Do you hold a recognised teaching qualification (AET, CET, DET, PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)?
  • Do you hold an assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent?

Work Location: Remote
