Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your leadership skills and culinary expertise will help create a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment where teamwork and food safety are top priorities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while leading a dedicated team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Whilst the menu is very simple presentation and food hygiene is very important to us. We like to smile, we are a happy team and we like to ensure that our customers feel welcome, valued.

We can discuss the hours available but at the moment we are looking at opportunities across both days and evenings and can be flexible.

Duties

  • Lead food preparation and cooking processes to deliver delicious, visually appealing dishes that meet quality standards.
  • Supervise waiting staff, providing guidance on food production, presentation, and safety procedures.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients to uphold health standards.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth workflow during busy hours.
  • Train new staff on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
  • Oversee serving processes to guarantee guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience in a culinary or hospitality environment.
  • Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively.
  • Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
  • Prior restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced settings.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
