JNE Internal Doors is looking for an experienced and reliable Internal Door Fitter to join our growing installation team.

We specialise in supplying and fitting internal doors for homeowners across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and surrounding areas.

We're looking for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, works efficiently and can consistently deliver a high-quality finish.

The role involves travelling to customers' homes to install multiple internal doors, typically as part of full-house replacements.

All jobs are organised and supplied by us, allowing you to focus on what you do best – fitting doors to a professional standard and providing customers with an excellent service.

We're looking for someone with proven experience in hanging internal doors who can work independently, solve practical installation challenges and represent our business professionally.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing internal doors in residential properties across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and surrounding areas
• Hanging and fitting a range of internal doors, including pre-finished and unfinished styles
• Fitting hinges, handles, latches and other associated ironmongery
• Trimming, adjusting and ensuring doors operate correctly
• Working efficiently while maintaining consistently high installation standards
• Completing multiple door installations within a working day
• Identifying and resolving any fitting or alignment issues
• Keeping customers' homes clean, tidy and protected throughout installations
• Providing a friendly and professional service to homeowners
• Communicating with the installation team to ensure jobs run smoothly

Who We're Looking For

Previous experience fitting internal doors is essential for this position.

We're looking for someone who is confident in their ability to install internal doors independently and to a consistently high standard.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced in fitting and hanging internal doors
• Confident installing hinges, handles, latches and associated ironmongery
• Skilled in trimming, aligning and adjusting doors to achieve a professional finish
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Efficient and capable of completing multiple door installations per day
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Friendly, respectful and professional when working in customers' homes
• Able to maintain a clean and tidy working environment
• Comfortable using their own professional fitting tools
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting tools
• Must be willing to travel across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and surrounding areas

Previous experience in joinery, carpentry or internal door installation is required, with specific experience hanging internal doors strongly preferred.

We're particularly interested in fitters who are comfortable working on full-house internal door replacements.

About the Role

This is a hands-on installation role working directly in customers' homes.

You will be provided with pre-arranged installation jobs, with customer enquiries, sales, quotations and scheduling managed by our team.

There is no requirement to find your own customers or generate work.

We want someone who can arrive at a property, carry out installations efficiently, deliver an excellent finish and leave the customer happy with the completed work.

Attention to detail, consistency and reliability are extremely important to us.

Pay

Competitive day rate, dependent on experience and ability.

Regular installation work available, with opportunities to grow alongside the business.

Pay and working arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.
