Since 1968, Park Lodge Project has supported vulnerable young people across Leicester to move from crisis to independence. Today, we support 95 young people across our supported housing services — helping them build confidence, stability, and brighter futures.

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and motivated Resettlement Mentor & Coach to join our team.

This is more than a support role. You will become a consistent adult in a young person’s life — someone who helps them navigate adulthood, build life skills, secure housing, and believe in their future.

The Role: From Support to Sustainability

Working across our Hub and supported homes in Leicester, you’ll support care leavers and vulnerable young adults aged 18–25 as they prepare for independent living.

No two days are the same. One day you may be helping someone attend a housing viewing, the next teaching cooking skills, supporting with budgeting, or celebrating a young person moving into their first home.

Your Impact

· Life Skills Coaching: Deliver our “Managing Your Own Home” (MYOH) programme, teaching practical skills such as cooking, cleaning, self-advocacy, and managing a tenancy.

· Financial Empowerment: Support young people to understand Housing Benefit, service charges, budgeting, debt management, and the financial responsibilities of independent living.

· The Transition: Help young people through the move-on process, including housing applications, bidding, accompanied viewings, and settling into their next home.

· Safe Homes: Carry out health and safety checks, contribute to risk assessments, and help ensure properties meet high standards of safety and care.

· Collaboration: Work alongside colleges, Youth Offending Teams, health services, and other professionals to build a strong, holistic support network around each young person.

The Package

· Salary: £27,189 per year, increasing to £27,989 after successfully passing probation.

· Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a requirement to cover one Saturday each month on a rotational basis.

· Location: Leicester, hub-based with travel to Park Lodge Project cluster homes across the city.

Who You Are

· Experienced: You have worked with care leavers, vulnerable young adults, or people with complex needs.

· Resilient: You are emotionally robust, able to maintain professional boundaries, and confident handling challenging situations.

· Tech-Savvy: You can maintain accurate digital case files and professional reports; experience with Microsoft or Inform systems is an advantage.

· Mobile: You hold a full driving licence and have access to your own car, enabling you to travel between properties in Leicester.

· Reliable: You understand that consistency is the foundation of trust for young people building independence.
