Are you looking for a rewarding role that makes a real difference to children, young people and their families?

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for Support Workers to join our Get Out There Group (GOT) in Wythenshawe, Manchester, as well as supporting on PA sessions in Trafford. You'll be working with children and young people who live at home with their families, helping them build communication skills, develop independence and take part in life in their community. Every shift is different, and every person you support is unique.

No experience is needed. We'll give you everything you need through full training from day one. Working regular Saturdays and evenings, from 4 hours per week, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for flexible, meaningful work that fits around their life.

Knowledge of sensory impairments or learning difficulties is desirable. BSL skills are a bonus but not essential.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, caring and genuinely empathetic
  • Positive and adaptable with a can-do attitude
  • Passionate about enhancing the lives of others
  • Willing to attend training as needed

This role might include supporting young people with:

  • Fun activities such as football, dance, bowling, messy play and cinema trips
  • Personal care, hygiene and everyday tasks
  • Getting out into the community for shopping and day trips
  • Building their social life and independence
