Butcher (must be fully experienced)

Here at Yorkes of Dundee we pride ourselves on the sale and distribution of local quality scotch produce. As we aim to expand our clientele and bring in more unique products we wish to bring on board a fully qualified butcher with previous experience to help our team in achieving this goal.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, trained butcher to join a very successful and forward thinking business. Job Outline:

Your areas of work are split between the raw section of the retail store, where you will assist with the preparation and rotate stock rotation in the retail cabinets, and multi-deck. You will also be working in the attached factory when required, working under the butcher manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Responsibilities:

· Maintaining Cabinets and Fridges, rotating stock

· Weighing & signing raw goods in, passing on any concerns or issues with weights or product quality immediately to the purchasing manager before allowing drivers to leave

· Working with the butchery manager to utilise stock that is used in the factory.

· Filling out the correct paperwork daily in accordance to EHO guidelines

· Must keep equipment and workstation clean & tidy in accordance with food safety standards

· Maintain excellent customer service, upsell and educate clients on various cuts and how best they can utilise these.

· Help out in other areas of the business if required,

· Comply with company goals and objectives

.Driving License and forklift operators ticket are desirable but not essential.

Immediate start is available.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
