Full job description

Our company carries out design and build projects across the retail and leisure section for clients on nationwide sites.

We work closely with clients from the initial concept stage, to design and compliance sign off, right through the construction period, to project completion. Throughout the process we ensure that each aspect of our planning and construction service remains focused on our clients’ individual requirements.

Due to increased workload, we are currently seeking a hardworking, confident, and experienced CAD Technician to join our team

Job Role:

  • Support and carry out surveys alongside our contracts management team.
  • Produce, coordinate and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings for interior fit out projects including shopfronts, glazing & technical M&E.
  • Develop technical drawings from concept design through to production, fabrication and installation.
  • Liaise with consultants to ensure compliance and maintain a working knowledge of legislation and standards
  • Specify products for the construction schemes.
  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain drawing registers throughout project delivery.
  • Provide technical support to installation teams during project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider technical, design and project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician within the construction/shopfitting or a similar industry.
  • Experience producing fabrication, manufacturing and installation drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and detailing.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and client specifications.
  • Knowledge of commercial interior layouts and space planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and external consultants.
  • A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
