Salary: Scale PO4, NJC Spinal Column Points 37-40 £48,226 - £51,356 per annum (plus 19% employer pension contribution)

As a member of the Sports Services Unit Management Team the postholder will be required to:

  • Play a lead role in the management of Lough Moss Leisure Centre, Activity Centres, Golf Courses, Laurelhill Sports Zone, Vitality Gym at Billy Neill MBE Country Park and Sports, Health & Wellbeing functions and Services within Sports Services.
  • Manage the development and implementation of agreed strategically focused health, sport, leisure activity and participation programmes and initiatives in line with Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council’s Corporate and Community plan.
  • Manage staff and resources ensuring the efficient operation of the Local Sports Service facilities in accordance with Council strategies, policies and budgets.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of Customer Service are delivered across all relevant Sports Services facilities and services with a particular focus on the maintenance of a safe environment for both staff and customers who engage with the service.
  • Be responsible for the effective, economic and efficient management and performance of the Holiday Activity Programme across all of Sports Services, including the Summer Schemes and other seasonal programmes throughout each year.
