Full job description
About Berry & Escott
Berry & Escott is a precision engineering business delivering innovative, high-quality solutions. We support customers operating in regulated and technically demanding environments, where quality, safety, and reliability are most important.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management team. You will take full end-to-end ownership of projects, from order handover through planning, execution, and final delivery.
This is an office-based role, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and quality teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
You will be trusted to manage risk, challenge assumptions when needed, and keep both internal teams and customers informed through clear, accurate communication.
Key responsibilities
- Own projects from contract award through to completion
- Work with Sales to confirm scope, programme, cost, and delivery requirements
- Plan and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
- Lead project meetings and provide structured updates to stakeholders
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Coordinate production and site activities to achieve accurate delivery
- Prepare and present reports on progress, risks, performance, and outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
What we’re looking for
- A confident, credible communicator who can manage expectations at all levels
- Highly organised, able to run multiple projects
- Commercially aware, with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Accountable, decisive, and comfortable taking ownership
- Someone who improves processes rather than simply tolerating them
Experience and skills
- Proven experience managing projects end to end within engineering, construction, or another regulated industry
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements
- Competent with Microsoft Office and project reporting tools
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent are beneficial but not essential
Why join Berry & Escott
- Salary of £48,000–£52,000, depending on experience
- Responsibility for technically interesting, meaningful projects
- A business that values clarity, delivery, and common sense
- Support for professional development and career progression
- A collaborative, down-to-earth working environment
If you are a capable Project Manager who wants real responsibility and the chance to deliver projects properly, we would like to hear from you.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £48,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company pension
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
