HGV Class 1 Driver – Night Shift – Preston

Montgomery Distribution is the palletised distribution division of Montgomery Transport Group. Operating from distribution sites throughout the UK, Montgomery Distribution offers a range of services covering the whole of the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Montgomery Distribution are now recruiting for HGV Class Multi Drop Night Shift Drivers to join their team in Preston.

Responsibilities:

Transport and deliver a wide range of goods to customers efficiently and on time.
Follow assigned delivery routes and communicate your location and estimated arrival times clearly.
Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
Drive company vehicles safely, responsibly, and in compliance with road regulations
Conduct daily vehicle and trailer inspections, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately completed.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, both inside and out.
Fixed Night shifts with consistent work and planning.
Home at the end of each shift - no tramping or nights out.
Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, as well as relevant legislation and site-specific policies.

Ideal Candidate:

Class 1 (C+E) licence holders with a valid CPC and Digi card
No more than 6 points and NO DND.
Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience (due to insurance)
Reliable drivers who take pride in their work and keep things moving
Flexibility to support the operation when required
You must have previous commercial driving experience and good geographical knowledge.
Experience of fully completing vehicle check in and checkout sheets.
