HGV Driver

This role is varied and requires flexibility to undertake additional duties as required, the role and responsibilities will include;

• Collecting and delivering materials and plant to sites.

• Ensure the vehicle and its load are safe and secure.

• Ensure driving regulations are followed.

• Complete necessary documentation.

• Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, including routine maintenance (e.g. oil, water checks) and cleaning.

• Operate plant, machinery and tools only if you are trained to do so in a safe and efficient manner.

• Liaising with the operations team.

• Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public and report near misses.

• Follow company policies and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when relevant.

• Promote a positive image of the company.

Essential skills/qualifications

• Demonstrate previous experience in a HGV Driver role.

• HGV Class 2/CAT C licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph.

• NPORS Lorry Loader Clamshell, Plant Mover, Plant Loader & Securer.

• A methodical approach to processes.

• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of their role within the business and demonstrate that they will undertake it accurately and diligently.

• An enthusiastic and proactive attitude, must be reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

• Good communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships.

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
