As we expand our market presence, we’re looking for a motivated Internal Sales Representative to support our customers and external sales teams from the inside out.
Role Overview
As an Internal Sales Representative at Tracto, you will be the vital link between our technical solutions and customer needs. Based in our office, you’ll support external sales teams, manage client accounts, prepare quotes, and provide expert product guidance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical sales, has strong administrative skills, enjoys customer interaction, and wants to grow within the trenchless technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing detailed product information on trenchless technology systems (e.g., HDD rigs, pipe rammers, accessories).
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, tenders, and sales proposals in coordination with external sales reps.
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their project needs and offering appropriate solutions.
- Process sales orders and ensure accurate data entry into CRM and ERP systems.
- Administration of the hire fleet, from taking the enquiry all the way through to delivery and invoicing.
- Covering Sales Office Manager's duties when required.
- Collaborate with logistics and technical teams to ensure timely deliveries and technical accuracy of orders.
- Develop targeted prospect lists based on market segments, buyer personas, and strategic priorities.
- Use CRM tools to track lead sources, engagement, and conversion metrics.
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels to engage prospects.
- Qualify leads based on predefined criteria (budget, authority, need, timeline).
- Provide the sales team with detailed lead profiles and background information.
- Maintain accurate records of lead activity and pipeline status in the CRM.
- Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and trade show preparations.
- Stay informed about the trenchless industry, product developments, and competitor activity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in internal sales, customer support, or technical sales—ideally within construction, civil engineering, or trenchless technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Technical aptitude or background in mechanical equipment or underground construction technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and prioritize workload.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated with a proactive, inquisitive and solution-focused mindset

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
