Full job description

We are looking for a talented and adaptable Junior Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their digital marketing, design, and web development skills while contributing to exciting projects in a fast-paced environment.

As part of our marketing team, you’ll be working on client projects as well as producing marketing materials for our own business, ensuring a high standard of creativity, professionalism, and engagement across all channels. You’ll need to be proficient in design-for-print and design-for-web.

The role is based in our bustling office in Bournemouth where you’ll be working with other designers, and the hours are 8.30-4 or 9-5 Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Campaigns

  • Assist in the development of creative, multi-channel marketing campaigns across social media platforms.
  • Understand customer journeys and help craft engaging marketing funnels.
  • Manage and adjust Google Ads campaigns, including performance tracking and optimisation.
  • Produce monthly reports and provide recommendations for campaign improvements.
  • Use AI tools to support blog content creation and digital strategy.
  • Execute email marketing campaigns, including designing templates and writing compelling content.

WordPress & Website Management

  • Navigate the WordPress environment to build and publish pages and blog posts.
  • Implement SEO best practices across web pages (experience with HREFs or similar tools is a plus).
  • Work with Jupiter/Elementor WP builder to enhance website design and functionality.
  • Develop creative solutions for website improvements and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Basic understanding of DNS settings and their role in website management.

Graphic & Web Design

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Express).
  • Familiarity with Figma for UI/UX design.
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for web design and customisation.

Client Management

  • Work directly with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high-quality marketing materials are delivered.
  • Be accountable for assigned client projects, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to support their ongoing marketing needs.

Skills & Requirements (required)

  • BA degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Adaptability to new tasks and challenges as they arise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a creative mindset.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Creative skills that help us build and grow our digital solutions:

Can demonstrate a keen interest in building websites within Wordpress,

Can design creative page and blog layouts using builders such as Elementor

Is familiar with maintaining, updating and working independently on basic Wordpress tasks

Has a good knowledge of CSS and basic html coding

Shows a good understanding of SEO and can be adaptable to ongoing changes within search (AI overview dominance etc.)

Has a creative approach to using tools such as Adobe Express for website image generation, social media promo images and basic animations.

Interest in helping clients succeed online through SEO, content, utilising AI to achieve goals quickly.

Be able to work closely with a variety of team members and be adaptable when required in a fast-paced environment.

A strong understanding of basic design, e.g. colour, composition, typography, etc

Understanding of JavaScript

Experience using Figma for wireframing

Experience in Meta/Google PPC advertising

Experience using SemRush
