Full job description

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kennel Assistant to join our team on a 4–5 day per weekbasis.

About the Role:
This is a varied position involving both hands-on animal care and office support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining kennels to a high standard.
  • Feeding, exercising, and caring for dogs.
  • Monitoring the health and wellbeing of the dogs and reporting any concerns.
  • Providing excellent care and attention to each dog.
  • Assisting with general kennel duties and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • One day per week will be spent in the office, assisting with administrative tasks such as answering calls, managing bookings, customer enquiries, and general administration.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with dogs is essential.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Hours:

  • 4–5 days per week.
  • One day per week in the office.
  • Weekend and bank holiday work will be required on a rota basis.
