Full job description
Graduate / Senior Recruitment Consultant : Life Sciences & Healthcare
Location: Leeds
Salary: Competitive basic salary + uncapped commission
Sector: Life Sciences, Healthcare & Specialist Engineering
Type: Permanent
The Opportunity
An established specialist recruitment consultancy is looking to expand its team and is hiring at Graduate, Recruitment Consultant and Senior Recruitment Consultant level.
The business specialises in recruiting across highly technical and specialist markets including Medical Devices, Scientific, Dental, Audiology, Animal Health, Clinical, Optical, Medical Aesthetics and Engineering.
This is an opportunity to join a specialist recruitment environment where you can develop expertise in a clearly defined market, build strong relationships with clients and candidates, and progress your career within a growing business.
Whether you're a recent graduate looking to start a career in recruitment or an experienced recruiter looking for your next challenge, the business is interested in speaking with ambitious individuals.
The Role
Depending on experience, you will take responsibility for developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and sourcing specialist candidates within your chosen market.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop relationships with clients and candidates.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts.
- Source, identify and engage candidates through LinkedIn, databases, referrals and other channels.
- Conduct candidate interviews and assess suitability for vacancies.
- Manage the recruitment process from initial client brief through to placement.
- Develop an understanding of your specialist market and become a trusted recruitment partner to clients and candidates.
- Research companies, markets and talent pools to identify new opportunities.
- Negotiate offers and manage the process through to successful placement.
- Build long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.
Graduate / Entry-Level Candidates
For graduates and candidates without previous recruitment experience, full training and support will be provided.
We're particularly interested in individuals who are:
- Commercially minded and motivated by financial success.
- Confident and comfortable speaking to new people.
- Competitive and target-driven.
- Resilient and able to handle setbacks.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Interested in developing a career in sales, recruitment or business development.
- Curious and willing to learn about technical and specialist industries.
- Ambitious and motivated by career progression.
Previous recruitment experience is not essential at graduate level.
Experienced / Senior Candidates
For experienced candidates, we're looking for recruiters with a proven track record of developing clients and delivering placements.
Previous recruitment experience within Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Scientific, Engineering or another specialist/technical market would be advantageous.
Experienced candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- A successful track record within recruitment.
- Strong business development capability.
- The ability to win and develop client relationships.
- The ability to manage their own desk and pipeline.
- A desire to develop specialist market expertise and progress their career.
Career Development
The business is committed to developing its people, with opportunities to progress from Graduate Consultant through to Consultant, Senior Consultant and beyond.
You will have the opportunity to develop your own specialist market, build a strong professional network and take increasing responsibility for client relationships and business development as your experience grows.
What We're Looking For
At graduate level, attitude, ambition and personality are more important than recruitment experience.
At senior level, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate a strong recruitment track record and the ability to generate business as well as deliver candidates.
What's on Offer
- Competitive basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Uncapped commission.
- Structured training and ongoing development.
- Clear career progression.
- Specialist and interesting markets to work within.
- Supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Opportunity to build your own client and candidate network.
- Abroad trips
- Long-term career opportunities within a growing specialist recruitment business.
This role would suit someone looking to start their career in recruitment just as well as an experienced recruiter looking for a new specialist market.
