Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our sector leading Sustainability team, providing expert guidance and support across all aspects of sustainability management. From initial assessments and strategy development to implementation and reporting including materiality assessments, support with streamlined energy and carbon reporting regulations (SECR), climate disclosure assistance, and net zero assessment and validations.

The role provides an opportunity for you to join our well-established Sustainability team that is responsible for the management and delivery of a range of technical projects.

We are looking for an experienced sustainability consultant with a broad skill set specialising in sustainability. The successful applicant will be a proficient project manager, will be comfortable talking to clients, and will be enthusiastic and excited to support the leader of a team of talented sustainability consultants.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Leadership, technical and operational delivery, with support from the Service Lead.
  • Technical support in areas such as climate change and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assessments, Energy Audits, environmental compliance with an understanding of sustainability.
  • Project management and delivery of projects within the UK and Europe.
  • Financial management, accountability for meeting budgets, and reporting key metrics to the Service Lead.
  • Client account management, day to day client liaison, and supporting members of the team with client communications.
  • Production of proposals and technical deliverables to ensure that client requirements are met to a high technical standard.
  • Technical interpretation of data and delivering commercially-sound advice to clients in order for them to meet their objectives.
  • Management of suppliers and third-party technical specialists to deliver projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours, vision, and values of the business and drive these throughout the team and beyond.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in relevant subject and preferably a secondary degree i.e. MSc, or discipline related qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geography, or Climate Change.
  • Depth of knowledge within Climate change and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assessments, Energy Audits, environmental compliance with an understanding of sustainability.
  • Proven project management and people leadership skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferable).
