Quality Assurance Auditor

BBF Ltd is one of the UK’s leading ambient cake manufacturers of retailer own label, licensed and branded cakes, supplying recognisable retailers across the UK and European market. We are passionate about our products and aim to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team in Hull on a two week rotating shift pattern, week 1 Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 shift pattern, week 2 Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00 shift pattern.

Purpose of the Role:

This is a factory-based role within an ambient environment. Working closely with production teams and reporting into the QA Manager this role primarily is to ensure that products are consistently produced to all specified food safety and quality standards

Principle Accountabilities

• Micro and Product sampling
• Internal audits as per schedule: i.e. glass and Perspex, GMP, calibration, and sampling
• Ensure compliance of all Company policies and procedures (taking appropriate action where necessary)
• Promote good working practices and procedures

Experience and Qualifications

• Positive can-do attitude, ability to work to deadlines in a demanding environment
• Good computer skills in the use of spreadsheets / databases
• Good communication / reasoning skills
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, specifications
• Some knowledge of HACCP and Calibration procedures
• Experience of micro / product sampling preferred
• Experience of auditing preferred
• Previous experience of Food Manufacturing within either a production or technical capacity is essential
• A tenacious approach, not afraid to challenge the status quo
• A minimum of level 2 in Food safety is required for this role
