Job Overview
We are seeking an inspirational and committed Headteacher to lead Vickerstown Primary School and Brambles Nursery into its next chapter. This role would suit an experienced school leader or someone ready to take the next step into headship. The successful candidate will provide strong, inclusive leadership, build on existing strengths and work closely with staff, pupils, families, governors and the trust to ensure the very best outcomes for all. Vickerstown Primary School and Brambles Nursery is part of South Cumbria Multi-Academy Trust.

Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school, aligning with educational standards and community expectations
  • Oversee curriculum development and implementation, ensuring it meets academic requirements and promotes student engagement
  • Supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship, support, and performance evaluations
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and personal growth
  • Manage school administration including budgets, resources, and compliance with regulatory policies
