Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapy / PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) practitioner to support students' emotional and social development within our educational setting. The successful candidate will deliver engaging programmes aimed at fostering well-being, resilience, and positive behaviour among pupils. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective PSHE and therapy sessions tailored to students’ individual needs and developmental stages.
- Facilitate group activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Support pupils experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties through one-to-one or small group interventions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils, maintaining accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment conducive to learning and personal development.
- Stay informed about best practices in PSHE education and therapeutic approaches relevant to the student demographic.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work or related fields.
- Experience working with children or young people in educational or therapeutic settings is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging sessions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and active listening.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all pupils.
