As a Shift Leader at our store, located in Sheffield, you are the captain of our bakery – day or night! You understand what it takes to Own the Night (and beyond) by delivering the finest cookies to our fantastic fans. You will be able to predict the flow of business throughout your successful shift. Your ‘hands on’ leadership style will drive your team to engage with customers, bake the perfect product and ensure that each customer interaction should reflect our culture and vision. You will also take pride in knowing that your ability as a leading Insomniac delivers a fun and productive night for your store every night.

What will I do as a Shift Leader?

  • Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all our fans throughout their experience within our bakeries or at home
  • Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift. Communicating all relevant information, monitoring production efficiency, coaching the team to ensure company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and development of the Cookie Crew
  • Lead-by-example and motivate others by living and breathing the Insomnia culture
  • Prioritise and delegate tasks for each section. Bakery, cashier, packaging, and cleaning whilst leading the Cookie Crew from the front
  • Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew
  • Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our fans and team whilst adhering to safe food handling practices
  • Responsible for all financial systems on shift

Desired skills/experience

  • At least 1 year of work experience as a leader within a customer service focused role
  • Outstanding communication, time management, and people skills
