Full job description

Nail Order is a fast-growing, professional-only nail brand supplying technicians across the UK and internationally. Started in 2020 we have grown incredibly fast and we now need the next phase of expansion to begin with the warehouse.

We are now hiring a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of our warehouse operations and help us scale without chaos.

This is a hands-on leadership role — you will run the warehouse, not sit in an office managing spreadsheets.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, accuracy, and efficiency of our warehouse and logistics operation.

You’ll lead a small team, improve systems and processes, and work closely with the founders to ensure stock, orders, and dispatch run smoothly as we scale.

This role replaces day-to-day founder involvement in warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Leadership

  • Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff
  • Set daily priorities and workflows
  • Maintain high pick & pack accuracy
  • Enforce clear standards and accountability

Stock & Inventory Control

  • Own stock accuracy across all systems
  • Manage goods-in, put-away, stock rotation, and cycle counts
  • Work with product and finance teams on forecasting
  • Reduce overselling, stock discrepancies, and dead stock

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Oversee order fulfilment and dispatch
  • Liaise with couriers and suppliers
  • Ensure SLAs and cut-off times are consistently met
  • Manage returns and damaged goods processes

Process & Systems Improvement

  • Improve warehouse layout, flow, and efficiency
  • Implement and maintain clear SOPs
  • Identify bottlenecks and fix them
  • Help scale systems for higher order volumes

Reporting & Accountability

  • Track KPIs (accuracy, turnaround time, stock variance)
  • Report performance and issues clearly
  • Escalate risks early — not after problems occur

Who We’re Looking For

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Have proven experience managing a warehouse or fulfilment operation
  • Are comfortable leading a small team and holding people accountable
  • Understand that stock = cash
  • Are detail-driven, organised, and process-minded
  • Are hands-on and not afraid to get stuck in when needed
  • Can bring structure to a fast-moving environment

Experience in e-commerce, fulfilment, or retail distribution is highly desirable.

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This role IS:

  • Ownership
  • Responsibility
  • Influence
  • A chance to build and improve a growing operation

This role is NOT:

  • A desk-only management role
  • A stepping-stone position
  • A micromanaged job

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • A stable, growing company with clear direction
  • Direct access to founders and decision-makers
  • The opportunity to shape how the warehouse operates long-term
  • A key leadership role in a scaling business

How to Apply

Send your CV and a cover letter explaining:

  • The size of the warehouse/team you’ve managed
  • The systems you’ve worked with
  • One improvement you’ve implemented in a warehouse environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,506.62-£42,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance

Work Location: In person
