- Design, implement and progress individualised rehabilitation programmes from the acute phase through to return-to-performance.
- Lead the delivery of on-field rehabilitation and return-to-running programmes.
- Work collaboratively with Strength & Conditioning staff to integrate rehabilitation with physical development and performance objectives.
- Support safe return-to-train and return-to-play decision making in conjunction with the Science and Medicine team, coaching staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor rehabilitation progression using objective outcome measures, performance metrics and clinical reasoning.
- Contribute to maximising player availability through proactive rehabilitation planning and effective injury management.
- Provide treatment and manual therapy interventions where clinically indicated.
- Support injury prevention initiatives, movement screening and player profiling programmes.
- Provide physiotherapy cover for designated training sessions and fixtures as required.
- Liaise with consultants, imaging providers and external healthcare professionals where appropriate to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential medical records in accordance with club, ECB and HCPC standards. Ensure all injury management documentation and database entries are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Operate within established clinical governance, safeguarding and medical governance frameworks.
- Contribute to departmental audits, service development initiatives and evidence-based practice.
- Undertake continuing professional development and maintain current knowledge of rehabilitation, return-to-play and sports medicine best practice.
