Restaurant Supervisor Required for Premium Bar & Grill

The Royal Bell is a Grade II listed building reimagined as a five-storey, design-led leisure destination offering elevated service and culinary excellence across multiple spaces including:

We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead the floor within our Bar & Grill. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a busy, premium hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior management team, you'll lead service from the front, support and develop the waiting team, and ensure every guest receives warm, knowledgeable and professional hospitality.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just supervise service—they raise the standard of it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the restaurant floor during service, ensuring every shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise, motivate and support the front of house team, leading by example at all times.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolving feedback and service issues professionally and confidently.
  • Ensure food and drinks are served to the highest standards of presentation and service.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain excellent communication and smooth service.
  • Train, coach and develop waiting staff, helping to build a knowledgeable and high-performing team.
  • Monitor restaurant presentation, cleanliness and organisation throughout every shift.
  • Support rota management, team briefings and shift planning alongside the Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensure all food safety, licensing and health & safety procedures are followed.
  • Assist in achieving labour, sales and guest satisfaction targets through effective floor management.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Waiter/Waitress, Floor Supervisor or similar leadership role within a quality restaurant, premium pub or hotel.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • A confident and approachable leader who enjoys coaching and developing others.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge with the confidence to make recommendations and drive sales.
  • A hands-on approach with a willingness to support every area of the restaurant when required.
  • Professional presentation and outstanding communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and key trading periods.
