B&M Babbage are a local family construction business based in Cheltenham carrying out insurance funded repairs, in domestic and commercial properties.

We are currently looking for a driven individual to join our friendly team as a Building Surveyor.

Our geographic areas include Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire up to Central Midlands, Oxfordshire, Bristol and occasionally South Wales, so travelling would be part of your working day.

The majority of our workload is within the domestic sector with the occasional commercial or industrial property. As our Building Surveyor/Estimator you will be client & customer facing and should expect a varied workload. Its critical the successful individual should be a self-starter and be capable to prioritise their workload within a defined process.

Ideally the candidate would need to be a self-motivated individual have a broad overall construction knowledge and also be prepared to learn the predominantly Insurance work scheduling or have experience in this role.

Building Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Previous experience in this role is desirable but not essential however you must have a background in construction, either from a technical position or a trade base
  • A self motivated individual who also works well in a team.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
